Help asking for genetic testing?

I am going to my doctor on monday and I want to ask her for genetic testing for me. I dont realy think that I have cf but I do think that my daughter does and she does not have her apt with the pulm. until july so that would be the soonest that she would be able to get the testing and I dont want to wait that long. If I could find out if I was a carrier or not then at least I would know something.

I want to ask for the full panel to be sure but I'm not even sure if my insurance would cover it. I am ready to have another child but I am not going to if my husband and I are carriers.

Any advice as how to ask the doc and how to convince her would be great. Also how can I find out if my insurance will cover it or not?
