HELP!!! Prescription co-pay is 20%

Okay, so we just moved states, changed jobs and thus changed insurance. The boys are on Pancrecarb right now, and the co-pay for just those enzymes is $500 a month.
I know that there are many out there that are dealing with this issue!!! Please, tell me if you know of any enzymes that are presumably lower in price than pancrecarb. Or if you know of any tricks to get around this ridiculous cost for enzymes.
We are actually at a point where some kind of change needs to be made with Ethan Sky anyway, as his poops are out of control and he complains of stomach pains when he eats<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

Missa -- please contact your social worker in the new clinic. I'm almost positive that most of the phamaceutical companies have programs to supplement the cost. Creon does, I know that. The CFF website may highlight the programs.

Its crazy expensive, I'm so sorry. I hope that you can find a way to make it more manageable.

I didn't know I qualified until a few months ago (duh!!)...just never knew about it or looked into it. I was spending upwards of $500/month on meds, which is now down to about $100...adds up big time!

Personally, I'm not on enzymes, so I don't know of any cheaper ones. I'm sorry it's such a pain to figure out the best way to go about saving money and taking care of your family; best of luck!

The hospital social worker should have ideas about programs. My son takes Ultrase and Axcan has been very cooperative with us as far as the medications. GOOD LUCK with the move and all the other adjustments.
