help with getting tested

my son has been followed by the same pediatrician for the 2 years of his life and the last we saw him he said for us to get the sweat test done. but he suggested since my son has been seen by a lung specialist that he would let him do the testing. my son's pediatrician is no longer practicing because he went off to teach medical school. now i have no pediatrician and the lung specialist doesn't want to run the test. what should i do? im afraid to not get him tested. who should i turn to? where do i get him tested?can someone help me out, email me at mysheleveon22@sbcglobal.net <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"> <img src="i/expressions/brokenheart.gif" border="0">

Hi Myshel,If the lung specialist doesnt want to do the testing....can he refer you to a CF clinic? You definitely want to go to a credited CF center to have him tested. If he wont, I would go to www.cff.org and go to CF centers and chapters and find the nearest CF center to you. I would do some calling to see what it would take to get him tested. Explain his health history and what you have told us here....hopefully that will help! Good luck to you!Dea
