My 15 month old son was just hospitalized with bronchiolitis. He has been on breathing treatments a few times in the past never this severe. The drs never brought up cf, but i knew it is a disease that affects the lungs so i looked it up on the internet and i became frightened when i read a symptom was bowel obstruction. b/c along with his bronchiolitis he was constipated and an xray showed bowel obstruction. he was given an enema and he passed his stool. is it chronic bowel obstruction? should i be worried? i even went as far as tasting his skin and it was a little salty. Would it be really salty? He is alson on treatments containing sodium chloride and his steriods make him retain salt so i'm hoping that is the salty taste from his sweat. Should i get him tested or am i over paranoid any info on cf could help<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif" border="0">

Yes, I would say get him tested. I don't think cronic bowel obstuction is common in CF at just 15 months old, but it never hurts to test. I know there are many parents on here who can identify with you. I hope the test comes back negative!
