I'm not sure, but I heard that CF men can use in vitro, as in you can use his own sperm and have it done IVF and it has a much better chance of working.

id recommend ivf too. if all fails, adoption would be the answer. there are plenty of children needing stable loving families. unfortunately too many people are caught up in the hype of having blood related babies.

It is true, I had information delivered to my house about this. There is something that males with cf never develop (i am not sure what it is called). Basically my doctor told me that I was all juice and no seed.Dave 29 w/cf

About 98% of males with CF have absense of the vas deferens. That means the tubes are missing or blocked that carry sperm. IVF is an option, but is expensive and not all insurance companies cover it. Males wanting to find out if they have this condition should see a urologist and have an exam and semen analysis. I have CF and I have a zero sperm count due to this condition.

CF men go to the IVF solution in order to have babies. I had a conversation about this with my doctor, who told me about this CF guy who's very famous among the CF population in Israel, and that he and his wife are expecting now. Dave - "all juice, no seed" - thanks for the laugh <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
