HELP!

I just got a call from the state insurance I have saying I make too much money....I was up for reeval, and though they told me to call back, I am freaking out that I will get cut off. this couldn't come at a worse time. I had insurance through work, but I have not ben working since Sept, and we also have insurance through my husband. My work coverage ends 1-31-07. On that coverage my scripts were $10, but the state insurance covered that so I paid zilch. My husband's coverage will take over when mine ends, but his is the kind you pay up front and then get reimbursed 80%...well that's all fine and dandy except creon alone is like $900 - add in the albuterol and advair and I am up to about $1000 a month...which means I still have to pay $200 out of pocket, which we don't have - and that is not to mention my husband's diabetes meds...so, does anyone have any advice or know of any supplementary rx coverage that is available out there?? Or a way I can convince this state insurance not to cut me? They are basing the financial info on last years stuff, which I have told them I am no longer working, but maybe it doesn't matter??

can u let them cut u off and then reapply the next day based on your 2006 income, which has to be less if u had not worked since September?

Check you Evidence of Coverage information that you should have been given when you enrolled in a health plan. Some of them have what's called an annual "out of pocket maximum". If this is the case, then keep close track of your expenses and when you reach that max you shouldn't have to pay any more. Sorry I can't ofter more help on that subject.

You could also look into Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPA). I don't know much about it, but the website is pparx.com

Wander, they have to base off of the money you are making now... which is nothing right. Your DH works but not you, do I understand that correctly? So, the fact that they are saying you are over income, does that include what you use to get paid plus DH income or just his? Because if it's both, they CANNOT count that, they can only count the income that you make in your eval. month and from here on out.

Does that make sense?
