I've told you my story but I will write since you've gotten no responses and I feel sorry for this...

I started bleeding when I was 12. I've never coughed up more than 1/4 c. at a time. During my mid twenties I started to cough up blood practically daily. Mostly just blood stained sputum but often a few tablespoons of pure, red blood. When I became pregnant the blood went away. I had been warned that it would likely get worse or get better but likely not stay the same with the increased blood supply in a mother's system. I was so happy to have 9 mo. of NO blood. As soon as I delivered...well actually about a week before delivery I started to have hemoptysis again. I gave birth in July 07 with no complications from hemopytsis. In fact, I didn't cough blood during labor. In the weeks afterwards though it progressively got worse until it was as bad as before pregnancy. By January I'd had enough and requested an embolization. I had two major brochial arteries embolized. I have not been pregnant since so I can't answer your question of what is it like to be pregnant after an embolization.

I've never been pregnant. Also I've only coughed up blood once 4 or 5 years ago. Not very much, just spotted on a kleenex. This doesn't help you but I didn't want you to feel like you were being ignored.
