Hemoptysis and Sleeping

I tried the inverted V with the pillows last night... I think it works pretty good. I will still have a bit more tweaking tonight. I like the pillows under my arms (my arm's don't go numb after hours and hours of sleeping). I slept super well all night and didn't have trouble breathing (like I used then when I laid flat). Yeah!! I was so comfy that I didn't want to get up this morning... that is not a good thing

I don't have a problem with hemptosis, but when I'm sick and need to be propped I use one of those big cushions that kinda look like they belong on the couch. I don't know what they are called. It kinda has little arms. I use that and two or three pillows arranged however they are most comfy at the time and one under my knees, which helps keep me from sliding down.

A memory foam mattress topper might help too- you sink into it a bit, and it might help prevent the sliding .

I have 2 regular foam mattress toppers, with 2 memory foam toppers on top of that, and my numb arm thing has all but gone away, along with my sore back, because it conforms to my shape- I love it!

And on a side note, I didn't know that you are supposed to sleep propped up after a bleed... I have only done it when I'm really sick, and waiting on a hospital room...

I have a wedge pillow and i put a few pillows on that as well. One at the bottonm of it for my back and two further up. Since i sleep on the couch i dont have the problem sliding down too far. My feet touch the other end which keeps me in place. I am thinking of getting a couch with reclining ends so i can sleep on there instead.
