I hope I spelled it right <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

How do you sleep at night-- propped up/elavated?? I keep sliding off the pillows at night and end up by morning almost lying flat. It is very frustrating. I understand the importance of doing it but I am tired of being uncomfortable. Do you have pillows on your side or just behind you?? Hubby offered to buy me a neck (half round) pillow. Do they work for sleeping all night?? My problem is I like to lay on my side for good portions of the night.

Advice would be great!!

I make what we call a "nest" out of my pillows. I take two of them and put them like an upside-down "V," and across that I put my comfiest pillow. I like to sleep slightly on my side, and by putting my pillows as an "A" shape, my shoulder fits in the gap, and the two side pillows keep me from rolling too far in either direction.

If I REALLY need to be propped up, I take a big cushion off the couch and put it under the mattress on my side of the bed. That seems to work well too.

Sleep well!

I sleep with so many pillows it is insane.. I have six to seven pillows on my bed.. by morning most of them are on the floor..

I have three under my head, and I sort of prop up against the wall with them.. I have one under my knees, or in between them depending on my position, I stick some to support my arms..

I always wake up in the night with numb arms and shoulders.. and I always think to myself " am I having a stroke?' stupid nursing thoughts.. Ha

I am seriously wanting to buy an adjustable bed so I can just push a button and have my head raised or my legs... I think as I get older/sicker that will really come in handy...

The best thing I have done when I have hemoptysis is to sleep in my hubbys reclinining chair. I realize this might not work for everyone.

BUT for me the part that leans back is the length of my torso and my butt & legs go out on the bottom part. I am able to sleep on my side in it with no problem & I dont slide.

I use this when I fight with my pillows. BTW dont wear satin/silk pj's to bed. I slide all the way down LOL!
