Hey, I need enzymes with my snack

Last week during snack time, DS turned to his preschool teacher and said, I need enzymes with my granola bar and followed with an accusatory by the way you didn't give me any at lunch. Which sent a panic thru the center. And apparently I'm a very scary person, so the director called my husband instead of me.

After reviewing what he had for lunch -- carrots, the crust off his PB & J, broth from his chicken noodle soup, and a glass of milk. So basically not much fat. DH said he should be fine, but just in case to keep him near the bathroom.

Usually DS reminds them, the director sits at his table 'cuz he's such a picky little turkey about eating and dawdles and tries entertaining his friends, but she gapped it out. Heck, he's almost 6, it's happened to us, I'm sure it'll happen again. Though don't think they'll forget anytime soon at preschool.

And he was fine, except during his dental appointment he farted thru his cleaning and laughed hysterically. Boys! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Yup, we've had some situations. Last year Aidan came home at age 3 and told me there was no nurse to give him Creon so he could not eat anything but pretzels. Last week a nurse was about to give him 5 of somebody's else's pills! Aidan stopped her and said that they were not his. He would have been in the hospital with an overdose. That is why next year I am fighting for the Creon to stay in the classroom. Aidan is more competent about it than anybody else. He never forgets his Creon, it's amazing.

Good for Max for remembering his enzymes! Maggie self administers her enzymes at school(kindergarten) and she is very reliable about it. Once she took her snack enzymes at lunch by accident; but told me about it at home...These things do happen. Megan; that's very scary that your child almost got 5 of the wrong pills; thank goodness that didn't happen. I leave extra enzymes in the nurses office in case I forgot to pack Maggie's ; if they need extra just in case. I gave her some fresh enzymes cause they were sitting in the drawer with dozens of other bottles. DIdn't look very organized to me; though it looked like everything was labeled ; but still. I trust Maggie's judgement on her enzymes more than most anyone except my husband and I and my son Sammy.
