hide fingernail clubbing?

I know this is a really silly question when there are so many more important things to *worry* about.
clubbed fingers and toes. I am sure that somebody here has them also, since I hear its more common with CF (and other lung things)


How can you attempt to hide it? I am embarrassed of my hands...I have long, slender fingers then BAM clubbed nail is big. They aren't terrible clubbed, but enough to bother me.

Does nail polish help, etc etc? Thanks!

I have found that I notice it even more when my nails get longer, so I tend to keep them fairly short. Some people may use artificial nails or acrylics to hide them, but I can't wear them as I am a nurse and they don't allow it because of the bacteria that can enter underneath the nail. Plus, I don't like the maintenance.
