High Risk OB?

I went to a regular Ob office but was classified as "high risk" with my son. I went to the same Ob office when having my daughter and was not classified as "high risk."

When I was planning the pregnancy my cf doc requested me to see a certain OB since she has delivered all of her cf patients babies before and has more experience. At that time my cf doc and the OB said I would be considered high risk pregnancy, though my OB said I was on the low risk side of high risk. At my 16 week checkup both docs said I will not be considered high risk for the remainder of my pregnancy. The reasons they gave are that, I have gained enough weight, oxygen is high, my pfts have remained stable, and there is no change in my lungs really-also going by the fact that I have felt really good.
I'll take that!

Thanks for all of your replys. Christian that is great news!!!

I am being followed by both a high risk OB and my regular OB- but they delivery at different hospitals, I was instructed to register at the hospital my regular OB goes to and they said they will transfer my information to the other one if needed.
Just sounds weird to me.

Everything is going okay but had my glucose test yesterday....not sure if I passed. I hope so. The baby is in the 92nd percentile and they are a little bit concerned. He is weighing in at 2.4 oz. and I am now 27 weeks. Hopefully he is just in a growth spurt.

Anyway thanks for the info-

When I had my glucose test, they didn't even let me finish-LOL (now)! They just stopped the test and said: "Here's the directions to the diabetes center."

Hopefully, yours will come back fine. The ultrasound had my baby a little bigger than she actually was- they said she was 5 lbs, and she was born a week later at 4.6 lbs.- just kinda long for her weight. Now, her weight is slightly ahead of her height (like her momma-LOL!)

I went to a regularl, local OB until I went into the hospital for hemoptysis in my 8th month. The same OB that Christian is using is who ended up delivering my baby.

I saw a perinatalogist (high risk OB) along with my regular OB with my son. My regular OB (or rather someone on call in her officed when I went into labor) delivered him. This time I am seeing my regulare OB (although different from before) and the maternal-fetal medicine doctor (again, high risk OB) who my CF clinic referred me to because she has delivered several of their patients. I will deliver with my regular OB, though. The maternal-fetal doc is in another city, near my CF clinic, and I do not want to deliver in another city, even if it is only a 20-30 minute drive.
