Hmm... question

Hi Everyone

I wrote in last week sometime, introducing myself. I am 31 I have Cf/rD and my husband and I are planning on TTC.

I took Carolines advice, bought the book on fertilty, read it cover to cover, and fiqured once I got my period, I would start charting, YEA! Well, my period never really came.

My last period was 3/3 and I am a 27 day kinda girl. I am now a week late and I know for sure I am not pregnant unless it is immaculate conception. We moved this month, my grandfather passed in feb and we are planning a wedding in the bahamas ( although we already eloped in June 07), we have been super busy.

I had a little spotting this monday, but def not enough to say I got my period. Any advice to why I have not gotten it? No change in weight, only the stress factor is up to about 2000. Could that really delay me? And how do you think it will effect my ovualtion for next month? I really wanted to try while in the bahamas....

Any suggestions? I am wiped.

thanks in advance,
Kris

I would do a pregnancy test just to make sure you are 100% not pregnant. I actually know of a woman who had sex 8 days before she ovulated (she charted to prevent pregnancy) and ended up pregnant. I know that is an extreme example but just goes to show you things can happen.

Stress will only delay ovulation - it won't delay after you have ovulated. It is possible that you had ovulation spotting monday but who knows. It is also possible that your period will show up when the stress dies down and you may just be having an anovulatory cycle.

Give it another week and see where you are at. In the mean time, try some relaxation exercises, meditations, etc. You need to reduce the stress.
