Hope for those wanting to apply for social security.

I applied January 4th, and today I received my reward letter. I was not denied at all, and the process was really smooth and generally easy to get through. I just wanted to share that there is hope for anyone applying for social security. When you do, make sure you already have all your medical records ready and submit them to social security yourself, it helps a lot in case any medical facilities take too long to get your records to social security because that can cause a denial. Social Security will send out for the records to the facilities regardless, but I know it helped my case, so I'm sure it will help other people's too. =]

Hope this helps someone and gives them hope! =]

Thanks for posting this Lena! I'm currently under review after receiving benefits for about 4 years. I'm super nervous because I'm just teetering on the edge of meeting the impairment listing for CF. When I applied it was more clear because I had had many hospitalizations that year and I qualified on that alone. Now I will need to qualify on the use of IV and nebulized antibiotics.

I know your post was intended to reassure people newly applying for benefits, but it brings me some comfort with my review!! It seems like all you hear about these days is how they are denying everyone and even kicking people off in order to weed people out! UGH.

Thanks again,

Autumn
