How do you thank donors and helpers?

We just finished our fundraiser on Friday. It was totally awesome, and far exceeded our plans or expectations. We raised over $12,000 and are super excited. God is good, and it was so good to see that so many people cared about our family and the many others that suffer from this disease.

SOOOOO, anyone have a great idea on how to thank them appropriately? I want them to know HOW VERY MUCH WE APPRECIATE THEIR EFFORTS. But need to do it in a somewhat inexpensive way. I would love to hear some ideas.

Blessing to you all-

Congratulations on your success fundraising! Great job!

I think a nice way to thank people is to just write a letter thanking the people involved and summing up the event. Tell people how much you raised, how excited you are, how much you appreciate it, and how this will make a difference in the lives of people living with CF . You can send it as a letter with a picture from the event as the header, or a picture of your child at the top.

Personally, I think people will appreciate that. :)

Great job fundraising. A thank you letter with pictures from the walk is good. I have given out CF blue bracelets. For the kids last year I gave out CF silly bands.

Another idea, depending on the age of your child is having your child draw a picture. My daughter (she's 8) drew a picture of herself doing her vest, it's really detailed, figure we'll scan it and mail it out with our CF letter..

This year I found these rose pins at the dollar store; they were only 5o cents a piece..I bought all of them, over 20 figure I can give them out at the walk.

Great job! I've been getting pretty frustrated with fundraising lately, so it's good to hear about your success! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

One year I made a montage on OneTrueMedia after an event. I included pics of the event along with pics of Emily and a few other cf'ers, and text that thanked the participants, volunteers and donors. Then I e-mailed the link in a general thank you e-mail.

You can do the montages free or get membership pretty reasonably (which gives you access to a few more bells and whistles).
