I was wondering if maybe there is a comercially priced spirometer that we can use at home. I was thinking like what they have at my clinic, just a sensor that measures air flow and hooks up to a PC or laptop. I did a little searching, and I did find one for about $200. <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.vernier.com/probes/spr-bta.html">http://www.vernier.com/probes/spr-bta.html</a> That's still a lot of money to spend for something I don't necessarily need, but i'm considering it. It would be nice to check my lung function whenever I wanted. What does everyone else think?
<b>Edit:</b> I forgot to say I don't think the spirometer on the link I provided would be capable of calculating FEV1, and other values like that. I think it would need additional software. I did find another spirometer complete with software, but it was over $1500.
