I was 25 when I had my first. And 28 when the next one is born.
I don't think there is a one-size-fits all rule when it comes to the age of a mom that has Cf. Each circumstance is different.
Theres alot of lifestyle factors that go into it.
I wanted to be done having kid(s) by 30, or my early 30s. But that is more so bc I knew I wanted more than one if possible.
Thats not something a doctor told me, its just what I wanted. I come from a big family and I see the difference between moms that have kids when they are in their 20s and early 30s and their late 30s and early 40s. Being younger has advantages-but when you have Cf, even more so. More energy, more patience. Plus if/when the time comes later on that I am needing more treatment or care more often, the kids will be older and more independent.
I know that so many women are putting children off bc of their career or school, and that is understandable. But my hubby and I decided to flip it around bc that is best for my health. I left a successful career in art plus part time volunteer work to have my children early. When the kids are old enough, if the need arises, I can work on my career then, and get back to more of my volunteering.
