He discusses using Hydrogen Peroxide in your ears to treat cold and flu. I am not going to try this if i get sick but was wondering what you all think about this easy treatment?

I just suck it up when I get a cold or the flu. Deal with it, and wait it out. *shrug*</end quote></div>

I do also as a rule. Hubby & Jazz tend to do it also. Tea & warm showers are the extent of things unless we have fevers or are real achy etc.

I am almost hesitant to post that I do this because it sounds so bizarre. But, someone told me about it years and years ago, and whenever I get the telltale first symptoms of a cold (tickle in throat, drippy nose) I put some hydrogen peroxide drops in my ears and all the symptoms are gone within 12 hours. I don't know if there is any scientific basis for this or if it's all in my head. But whatever, I haven't had a full blown cold in a very long time. However, I certainly have had some lung flareups. Just not the sore throat, completely plugged sinuses that I used to get before I tried this technique.

I am sure there are many ways to treat colds and flu. Some are yet to be discovered. I would think that if you put a small amount in the ears it would help but frequent amounts probably would harm a person. Everything in moderation. I would be worried about creating more free radicals within the body.

I think Mercola has some great advice. If I ever get a bad cold or flu, I would think about trying a tiny amount and that is all.

I have tried using Tea Tree oil on a cue tip when I had an ear ache. It seemed to clear up any slight aches that I had. I think these are all similar remedies.
