Hey guys,

2 days away from the new year, how do u look back at 2005? For me, it was a year through which i gained a lot of experiences, it was marked with ups and downs, but the ups were really worth it. I discovered myself again and attained many goals. It was a good year in general. If 2006 will be like it, I would be looking forward to it. Happy New Year everyone and if 2005 was not so good for you, I hope that 2006 makes it up .

well 2005 was the worst year health wise i have ever had. i was very poorly the beginning of the year and the doctors didn't think i would make it, i was even given the "death talk" which i call it. But i am still here though lots of hard work and and waiting on the tx list.

I have always been so well though my life I have been really lucky but 2005 was awful.

I have to say that most of 2005 sucked for me as far as health is concerned. It did, however, make my life better is some ways. It made me see how much my husband loved me. Tho I never really ?? this, he isnt one to show a lot of emotion so at times it made it hard to know (since I am one that likes to SEE it for myself). It made me realize just how precious the air I breath is. In the past I took it for granted since I always bounced back with no problem. I am totally grateful that my daughter is having an excellent year in school & actually enjoys it compared to it seeming like a punishment last year. All in all I guess 2005 was ok. I have a great family & some fantastic friends that make life enjoyable even at the worst of times!

I just have to say, guys, that if we go by statistics and the likelihood of things... every new year we come across will be the "worst health year so far" because it's always getting worse. Hahaha. Not necessarily true every time, but likely.

2005 was pretty good for me. It was my worst health year so far! Hehe. But me and Mike have been doing well, and we went to Disney with his family in May. I changed schools and I'm happier with that. Blah blah, etc.

Overall 2005 was one of the worst years of my life.

I still can claim to have the world's best daughter however!

Here's to a great 2006!!

2005 hasn't been that bad for me - I've had some diabetes issues that I'm working out, but nothing too severe. Cf wise I've been really good. 2004 was the worse year for me though, and I'm hoping that 2006 will be even better than 05.

Thanks Emily for that great reminder about each year getting worse and worse.. HAHA I am already having a bad day and your post made me laugh...

I am in total agreement 2005 was by far my worst health year...Five hospital stays....and some at home IVS as well....and I am cooking a fever of 102 now ....glad the year is almost over.....

I know a lot of ppl who had really bad health years... I am going against the odds this year... I am going for little to no hospital stays in 2006....

Unlike many of you, my daughter had one of her best years yet...the beginning of the year was a little hard because she carried her cold over from the year before and went into Feb. until she was done with the runny nose, cough, etc. But, at 5 1/2 she hasn't been sick for more than 1 day since Feb. I am so thankful for that because the "bad" season usually starts for her in Oct. or Nov. I am keeping my fingers crossed and praying that this continues! I wish a better 2006 for all of you! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Hmm..what a good question. I guess it depends on how you look at it..As for my health, I really declined to the point of requiring a ventilator to breathe now, have been in the hospital at least 6 times, had surgery to fix my sinuses as well as my trache and have had my share of IV's thanks to cepacia and the pseudo. But, on the positive side I am here and typing to you, it could have been far worse for me, I could have easily succumbed to any of those nasty bugs that get me all of the time. I have learned to just live each day, I never know what is going to happen to me the next day. I figure if I can see my children, even if it is an argument about a silly thing, then I am okay at that point. The day I am unresponsive and given my last blessings, that's when I know the fight is over. I just celebrated my 34th birthday on the 26th and someone asked what if felt like to be another year older...I said no different than the last, except I was given an additional 365 gifts...you see, each day I am here, I consider a gift, so to be here another year means alot to me and I will live 2006 the same way. Many hugs to all of you, Jenn
