HTS back ordered?

So I called in my prescription last week (a whole week early, like a good girl) and Rite Aid told me yesterday when I went to get it that it wouldn't be in until Tuesday.  So I went back today to talk with the regular pharmacist and find out what the problem is and she said none of the Rite Aid's near me have it and neither does the big CVS near me.  She also said that now they won't have it until the end of the week.  I have been out of it since Friday now!  What do I do??  I can't go without it for a whole week.  <div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Has anyone else had trouble getting the HTS 7%?</div>

I called in my refill of Hypertonic a couple days ago and picked it up tonight. They didn't mention any problem with it being backordered or anything but they could have had the one box on the shelves already, in which case I wouldn't know if it was backordered or not.

I'm really sorry you're having to go without it! That's a total bummer. And I really hope there isn't any shortage of it or a lot of us will be in trouble. I normally neb Mucomyst and it's been on backorder for months. Ugh, going without it has been the pits.

Anyway, good luck and I hope you get some soon!

You can check with a local hospital, you might also consider standard saline(sp) but its going to be .05% vs the 7%. I don't know about you but it seems to not really matter which I use, the simple act of adding water to my lungs via steam or neb helps with production.

I actually just switched my 7 yo to the lower 3% dosage and i would be happy to give the 7% that we do not need! Please pm me your address and i will send it NO CHARGE of course!n Assuming you are in the us <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

We use rite aid and I just called Emily's in- they had it. However, I don't know if they already had it in stock since they have her on auto-fill. I'll ask when I pick it up tomorrow if there has been an issue with this.

I ended up getting it from CVS. They had it at their warehouse, so it only took a day for them to receive it. I was worried because Rite Aid originally told me Tuesday and then said 'oh wait, maybe not til the end of the week'. I obviously could not wait til the end of the week and my worry was that they would keep extending that time period...Relief though, I did get it and I am all set. THANK YOU so much for your concern!
