is anyone using this new regimen that has been said to make mucus and plugs come up much easier?i believe australia started it and have seen promising results and the best part about it is guess what it is.SALT WATER!!if anyone is using it what state hospital are you going to and what concentration are you using 3%,7%?im waiting for my center to finish writing the protocal on it so i can start it.any info would help. thanks

My clinic typically prescribes 6% hypertonic saline, but that's pretty harsh for me and I usually end up coughing up blood after using it. I usually use 3%, so I suppose it varies person to person.

I use three percent, and it seems to help. Simple salt water, and here I've been paying so much for Pulmozyme. =-)

I'm just curious, though, why would anyone need a prescription for salt water? I mean, are they afriad someone's going to try to get high off it? Ha ha! Maybe it's a quality assurance thing...
