I can't find the H1N1 vax anywhere

Yes, I want to get it, asap. I've been weighing the benefit/risk ratio and to me, its a no brainer. (but thats just me)
I already got my seasonal flu vax. I'm on a waiting list at 2 docs for this vax though. Some docs have the mist, but the cf clinic has forbid the mist-which I knew, but I've seen it come up as a question in recent posts.
Anyone have any luck yet?

The Mist is DEF a no-no. My CF clinic employees are not even being allowed to get it. Since it has the live virus, it poases a much higher risk of actually getting the disease...whereas with the shot, the virus isnt usually alive.

I will also be getting the shot, when it becomes available. In the NOrteast, we have only recieved the mist as well. I dont know how they chose who gets it first, but now that you are not the only one is eagerly waiting. My CF clinic says that they will call when it is available, which should be in a few weeks. If I dont hear from them, I will def be calling them.

I am having a rough time finding it as well. I did get my seasonal flu shot without an issue, but the H1N1 is very scarce. Since my spouse and I work in healthcare, we're also top priority for the flu vaccines, and my employer still hasn't got it yet! I took my children in for their shots this weekend and they got the first dose of both the seasonal and the H1N1 and they said they may not have the second dose available for them on time. ERG! It's frustrating. I really want us all to be vaccinated, especially since my boys are so young. I'm really hoping my employer or my PCP has the H1N1 available in the coming weeks so I can quit worrying so much :\ But you're not alone. There aren't that many H1N1 shots available yet.
