My 12 yr old daughter is developing and is tender. It hurts to use the vest. Any suggestions of how to make the vest work for her?

I'm 19 and omg I remember when I was growing, they hurt so bad! I'm sure the vest can be painful for her at times. The only things I can think of is maybe lowering the pressure on the vest or even buying some kind of padded bra just to use the vest with, because the bra could keep her supported and put some extra cushion between her and the vest. I hope any of this helps! But she'll grow out of it soon!

my mom cut circles out of heavy duty foam padding that we put into the vest after I put it on, before it started vibrating. I remember this stage. And now I can't believe I'm posting about it on the internet.

I'm a 34D so yes I've had this problem. (I'm also currently pregnant so its even worse! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> )
I take a thin terry cloth towel and fold it, lay it on my chest and then put the vest on. It helps alot. And it really doesn't affect your treatment either.
Afterwards, taking a hot shower and letting the water hit you on the 'sensitive area' helps too.

...imagine vesting while you are currently breastfeeding-OUCH!

i had the chest vest(it just inflated on one side) when i was going threw that stage. So i turned it around and put the inflated part on my back i still got a treatment. probably not the best treatment but at least i wasnt in pain the whole time

they have a new treatment called the Flutter. it's an inhaler-looking thing, only you blow into it and it makes a metal ball bounce and it's suppossed to help clear your lungs. i've been using it instead of the vest for months and it works just fine. maybe you should try that instead?
