This is true, the short one (that I have) only inflates in the front chest area. I often wonder if that's just not a good thing. The only good thing I do know about it is that I can sit back in my chair while doing the treatment and rest my back muscles. When I had the long vest (a long time ago with the old model machine) that inflated everywhere, it was very painful after a while on my back since I couldn't lean back in the chair. Those were my personal back issues, but overall I would imagine having the longer one that inflates everywhere would be more productive.
