I'm finally stable!

At my last appointment (a month ago) my doc said he was going to give me a month to make some definite progress, otherwise he'd admit me yet again. (The last admission was in May.)

My pfts were up just a smidge from the last time, but it was progress. The fact that I didn't lose ground was astounding. In addition, I am finally within reach of my target weight! Only 2 pounds to go! Those of you who have seen my video on CF tube will recall that the digital scale showed that I weighed a mere 114 pounds. Tonight I am 123lbs! The best part is, that's muscle weight. I haven't been bloated, I still fit in my "skinny jeans" I'm just better toned. I LOVE how I look and how I feel right now.

My vitamin levels were still too low, even though we've doubled everything. This was another reminder for us that we made the right decision regarding pregnancy. I believe my two miscarriages were very much related to my severe vitamin deficiency. Sometime things just aren't meant to be.

I will continue to exercise daily, and keep up with my high protein diet. We're still waiting for the eFlow to arrive, but I'm excited about that as well.

The doc said given me positive progress and upward trend, he wasn't going to admit me. He didn't want to risk harming my kidneys or my ears just for a potential boost.

I'm thrilled, to say the least. It's been a brutal year, but the tide seems to have turned at last. God is so good! I wouldn't have gotten to this point today without Him.

Lauren, that's great news! I'm so glad to hear that you are doing good And yes, God is very good!

Can I ask what you exercises you are doing? I need to do some as well but with my low lung functions I get tired very easy...plus a total lack in motivation might have something to do with it.

Sorry, didnt mean to hijack your post. I'm very happy for you! Keep it up!

Hey Danyell,
Thanks for the well wishes. The exercises I do are very low impact. Mostly it's a lot of stretching and free weights. If you saw my CFtube video, there's a picture of a rowing machine type thing that I do too. I work my legs with that while wearing my vest. I'm thinking of putting together a little slideshow or something about my workout routine. Maybe I'll call it "Lifts, Lunges and Lungs: The Lightweight's Workout" hahaha!
