I'M LOST...

I seriously am lost! According to the doctor at the fertility clinic, I was ovulating this month. He said that 1 follicle on the right ovary was ready, which is my good ovary. So what is going on??? I'm WAYYYY past my average ovulation day which is usually Day 15. I'm crampy with backpain and feel like my period is already in the wings yet I'm not due until September 1st. Is it possible that 1 follicle did mature yet I didn't ovulate even though the clinic said it was a "sure thing".

Advice??? Thank gosh, I am going to be doing IUI or whatever. My charts are nuts!!!

Oh, Jake and I haven't "baby danced" for a couple days because we are both sick with colds. The weather up here is crazy. It's like October in August and tons of rainy damp weather. He has a sore throat, and my lungs feel a little closed. Both of us feel like crap. Great time to get sick...

It is possible to "almost ovulate". Your body could prepare itself and then back off. Getting sick with a cold can also complicate things and make your body hold off. One month when I had a cold earlier in my cycle I ovulated 3 days late. I really think they can't guarantee ovulation. You can have all the right signs preceding ovulation but you still have to actually ovulate. I believe your body could go back and forth on ovulation a few times. That is why its possible to see fertile CM, then non fertile, then fertile again.

FWIW I don't think you've ovulated yet. All the stress from your house may delay it till you're stress free. Good luck

Ok, this is OT, but where do you live? I am in the Seattle area, and lately it has felt like October here! I have been all junked up, I think it is just the change in the weather though, not a cold. Thank goodness for HTS!

Jessi,

I live in Pennsylvania. I know that Jake is sick with a sore throat, but I'm just kind of watching from a distance with me. Instead of a sore throat, runny nose, or watery eyes, I am just a little more SOB (short of breath) and coughing a little more than usual. It seems to be a dry cough, which is a good thing I suppose...

Like I said, I'm not too sure about me yet. Although with Jake actually being sick, it doesn't help! If I do have a cold, I'll most likely fight it off without needing antibiotics or anything. I'm pretty good at fighting stuff off now that I don't work. We'll see...

It's actually funny. Jake and I are hugging a little but not kissing. Neither one wants to mess the other one up. LOL!
