Implantation Bleeding?

My periods have been regular almost since the day I started at 12 years old. One time I missed a period (in high school because I was very active). And any other time was related to birth control issues. Currently I am on birth control and still am always regular. Get a period Tues-Wed-ish, done by the weekend...no signs of another period for a month. Right now, I am in the middle of that month (due for my monthly friend next week) BUT I am bleeding...VERY slightly only when I wipe kind of thing, and its very light red blood. Thinking back, hubby and I had sex about 10 days ago. From what I have read online, this could be implantation bleeding. Did anyone here experience that? I don't have any other pregnancy symptoms as of yet (which also according to what I am reading wouldn't show yet anyway). I am totally ready to have a baby and am excited at the thought, but financially we could be better off...we aren't officially trying yet, but are not opposed to having a baby now that we have a house with extra room.

My problem is I don't want to wait to know! I "think" its still too early for a home pregnancy test, but I am so anxious to know. I mean I have NEVER had breakthrough bleeding, so I want to know whats causing it. I was on Voriconazole a few weeks ago, also IV's and now Zyvox...but it was all meds that I have been on before and never had an issue with. Well thanks for reading, I think I just wanted to tell someone...Please let me know your experiences!

It does sound like a possibility of being implantation bleeding, but you are right that there really isn't anything you can do but wait. My first symptoms of pregnancy (other than having a positive pregnancy test) were sore, swollen breasts, but that didn't start until a couple of weeks after I found out I was pregnant. My morning sickness didn't really start until about the 9th week. I would take a pregnancy test on the day of or the day before your period is due.
If you are pregnant, congratulations! My husband and I could have been in better financial standing when I got pregnant, but we have managed just fine. As they say, there is no "perfect" time to have a baby, and my daughter is the most precious thing to me in the world! Good luck with everything!

Thanks for your response marisa! I started bleeding today so it's a negative. As much as I want this, it will happen when its meant to happen and we will be better off for it (lots of costly things to do for the house first...).

Congrats on your baby girl!
