Thanks so much guys! Julie, I myself need to get the families address. When I do I will send it your way. I do feel Jamey is "breathing easy" now. The last 2 years have been tough, although he never complained the time I knew him. He was in the hospital every 4 -6 weeks for 3 weeks. His lung functions were 13%! He did not want to go on transplant list. We almost lost him about 2 months ago and he pulled through. He was getting tired. Also, sadly his Dad passed away last month while he was in the hospital. (motorcycle accident) Jamey couldn't go to funeral due to his health and that was really hard for him. What hard times on the family.

Thanks again,

Angie

P.S.Going away for a week so I'll get address when I get back.

My name is Carrie. Jamey and I spent many a days at Barnes together, hanging out in our doorways, stretching our O2 extension tubing to its limits. We both had sponge bob square pants pajama pants that we wore while we were "in house". Jamey was a very friendly, outgoing, memorable person. After getting a bi-lateral lung tx I wasn't allowed back on 3200 anymore because I could get sick, but I would always pop over there anyway to see if Jamey was in, or what the latest update on him was. He really loved his Mountain Dew and his ketchup. A family member or friend would bring plenty of the supplies and he wasn't ready to leave for home until his ketchup bottle was empty.

The family that donated the laptop computer to him gave him the most wonderful gift he could receive at that time of his life. He found a family in friends across the internet and it's so touching to see so many people remembering Jamey fondly, as well as wishing his family well with prayers.

It's been an honor knowing him, having him as an "in house" buddy, and I know he will be missed by many. God Bless, Jamey!!!!

This is Carrie again. I noticed that Amy and Julie were looking for info to send his family their regrets about Jamey. Here's one way. Their local newspaper obituary has a guest book you can sign and send your messages along to his family. Here is the link to his and his dad's obituaries. Just click on the sign guest book link to leave his family a note and let them know that Jamey was loved, is loved, and will be missed.

I am sorry to hear about this individual Jamey who brought so much love and insight to life. I will always remember and be inspired by his letter.
I think it would be a good idea to have a blog on all people that have passed with cf. Perhaps we know of someone with CF who has taught us and inspired us to live on?

This indidual Jamey, in his expression of the CF fight is an amazing read for all of us to read at all times in our lives living with CF or whatever challenge we face.

Think of all the people who have passed on who because of them our lives are that much better.

I think we should call a blog title Fallen heroes of CF

Take care, Risa

Hi Risa:

Great suggestion. I just spoke to Bill and he want to get started working on a page for our Fallen Heroes of CF!

Look for it soon.

Risa and Jeanne,

What about the remembering page? Is that to be used for something else? I was going to post about Jamey on there but maybe I misunderstood the purpose of it????

Carrie... thanks for sharing the obituary. It made me smile when I read your post about you and Jamey in hospital. He always make sure he had his ketchup and maple syrup for his stays. I sent him the laptop and am so happy that he was able to enjoy it the last year.
Julie... your post in the guest book was so nice. I'm glad you let his family and friends know of his "other family" here.
I miss my phone ringing and hearing his voice. I do know that he is in a happy place..... riding his motorcycle (he really missed that) with the wind in his face.
