In need of some good thoughts our way!!!

I am definately going to put a message in the prayer topic, but for those that don't check it-I wanted to post something here.

As many of you know, Mark and I have been working towards In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) for almost 2 years now. Each time we get close to having enough money, something happens, like $2500 worth of car repairs or a car dies and needs a brand new engine.... so it keeps getting postponed. Prior to that, Mark's hormone levels were "misbehaving" and before we could do the treatment he had to have a solid 3 months of medication and then a solid 3 months of normal hormone levels and then all the financial stuff started happening. I do believe everything happens for a reason and out of this, I was able to select orders to Washington State, which is what we really wanted. Especially so if we are going to start a family because Mark's parents and My parents live in Washington. So, there has been good out of all the postponements.

In August we applied for a from INCIID the Heart, the first National IVF scholarship (.http://www.inciid.org/faq.php?cat=infertility101&id=22) I recieved a very exciting and encouraging email yesterday. We have not been selected yet, but I wanted to share the email and ask for people to keep us in their thoughts and prayers about this matter, please!

I wanted to let you know that your application for the From INCIID the Heart program has been processed, found to be complete and will be considered by the selection committee in late December. If the committee has further questions, we will let you know as soon as possible. We will notify you of their decision in early January. Regards, Linda

I will of course keep everyone posted when we recieve information about whether or not we are selected. In the meantime, I hope that people can keep us in their thoughts, we want this SO bad!

Thanks everyone!

I am so glad to hear that! If anyone deserves the scholarship you all do! It is wonderful that programs like that exist! Good luck and I will keep you two in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you Maria, and to everyone else-again. Just found this on INCIID's website, thought I'd share it,

Just wanted to share this with you All, INCIID in people Magazine (the one with Brittany and Her husband and new baby on the cover). It talks about their scholarship program. It's a PDF file so it may take a few minutes to show up http://www.inciid.org/attachments/babylove-people.pdf

Thanks to all who have posted, it's wonderful to know there is support out there. I have recently contacted the CFF about what they are doing for adults with CF since now more than 40% of the pop. living with CF are adults. How are they addressing adult issues, helping older families, reproductive insight/studies. I haven't heard anything back, but then again i just recieved a response from them about CFRD that I sent in September. Amazing.

Thanks to everyone!
