Infertility Testing

My husband and I decided to start infertility testing. He is NOT a carrier. We have been TTC for a year now. My ex-husband and I tried for nearly 3 years before we gave up and ended up getting divorced (for other reasons). So my husband had a semen anaylsis and everything came back fine. In fact his sperm count was very high. So now on to testing for me. I've been doing OPKs for a few months now and according to them I am ovulating, which I figured I was because my periods are normal and always have been. So I tell my doctors about the whole CF and thicker cervical mucus thing. They just seem to kind of blow me off on that one though. They don't seem to think that cervical mucus would be much of a problem. So they are talking about checking to see if my tubes are open. My doc was talking about a pre-op, so I'm guessing they weren't talking about doing the HSG. Maybe she wants to do the larposcopic surgery. I'm really not sure. But anyways, to get to my question. If any of you underwent fertility testing, was cervical mucus ever the root cause of the problem?

Yes! My reproductive endocrinologist theorized that it was my cervical mucus preventing me from getting pregnant. I had an HSG - I think it's pretty standard to do that test when you being IF treatment. But, I did not have a lap. Once we started doing IUIs, I got pregnant easily.
