I have heard of Lisa before but I can never find much about it saying anything more than just she has cf. Nothing like how often she gets sick or something, or if she has mild cf or just digestive...what not. Still amazing she does that stuff. I think all CFers have their own inspirational story. Here is one for ya.
I have amazing stories of two friends of mine actually. One is on this board but I wont embarass her, but I think she is amazing and inspirational. The other is very inspirational as well. In high school he was about 90 something pounds and a gymnist. After he graduated he got really sick. So sick he was put on the lung transplant list and his functions went all the way down to about 7-10%, yes that low. He said I'm not going to die and turned around. With tons and tons of hard work and regular tune ups he got his self back up to 27-32% (depends on if he has an infection) and is now a body builder. He is HUGE. I dont know how much he weighs now but I would guess near 200 pounds. Really buff, always works out (3-4 hours a day) goes to school and just got engaged. Does all this on 30% lung function. Did I mention he competes and has won several times (or at least has done very very well). Its just amazing to see how huge this guy is. He is still on the lung transplant list but is on the inactive list. He is the sweetest guy you wil met. I think he is a true inspiration as well.
