Insurance issues

Help!
I don't know what to do. After several appeals and 6 months later, my insurance company approved a Minimed Insulin Pump AND a continuous glucose monitor.

I got the pump, but the medical supply was told that the CGM will NOT be paid for by insurance even though it was approved and deemed medically necessary. How can they do this?!

Has anyone ever had this happen before? Any advice as to what to do about it? I am just sitting here with no idea what to do.
Thanks in advance!

Have you contacted your insurance company yourself to see if there is just an error in the system somewhere? Try that first, if no go...call Beth, (the attorney with CF) - I'll find her contact info and post again

Thank you Alyssa!
I have called the insurance and they claim they can not talk to me about any details of my account because of HIPPA. Which makes NO sense at all. It is my policy, my claim, and it is ME asking about MY stuff! I have not found a way to get around it. They tell me to call the medical supply company. I have been running in circles since December. *sigh* (sorry for the vent)

I think my CF nurse is going to call Beth. Thanks for suggesting it. I didn't want it to come down to this, but I have a feeling I don't have any other choice except giving up, and I am waaaaay to stubborn for that! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">
