I'd really like to know the pros and cons of the e flow from somebody that's used it. My daughter is 11, and obviously, just like most on here, she is loaded down with nebulized meds, and we really want to free up time for her. I asked our doctor about it and she wasn't comfortable with the product because the dosing in the medication is different, or something like that....this was about two years ago though that I asked. I'm going to check with her again, but I wanted to do my homework on it before I bring it up at her next appointment.

I have been using it for 7 years or more! its amazing! Fast silent portable! The neb parts are kinda sensitive and need attention in sterilizing but arent we used to this? Id say go for it. I do Pulmozyme and Tobi.
They made me use a traditional nebulizer with a mask at the hospital to do Pulmo and i kept feeling the whole drug was wasted, going out the wholes. Im used to do through eflow parts that make you breathe the mouth Such waste of time and effort!

Do you have to special order the meds? My daughter currently uses it for hypertonic saline 2Xday, tobi 2xday, pulmozyme 1xday, and when she's sick, she has to use it for pulmicort up to 4x/day...uughhh!

You do have to special order the TOBI, as well as Cayston, if your daughter is on it. My son, Gavin, uses the eflow and has for about 4 years now. You can only get the eflow through pharmacies that mix their own TOBI or Cayston, so that it is formulated for the eflow (the eflow delivers a higher, more efficient dose of medicine, that is why the doses of antibiotics have to be tweeked). I definitely recommend it. It's awesome, super quick, and my son has been doing much better since he started using it. It gets the meds deep down in the lungs so that they work better, and on the plus side, it is silent, and very quick (hypersal is done in about 2-3 minutes). Cleaning it is kind of a pain, but no more than regular nebs, just a slightly different method. I would definitely ask your daughter's doctor again. Some docs are afraid of it because of the different dosage of TOBI and Cayston, but in my experience, the pharmacys know what they are doing. :)
