Hello All,

I have lurked on these boards before, but never really posted. I just wanted to introduce myself, now that we have babies on the brain. I am Sara (no CF), and was married to Dustin (w/CF) last August. We had a beautiful wedding and i couldn't be happier right now.
About Dustin - Dustin is a very active and healthy 25 year old with CF. He takes great care of himself, he is a 3rd grade teacher and the high school tennis coach. He has such a wonderful outlook on life. He has also been very lucky to have never been admitted to the hospital other than his apendix and septum surgeries, and his PFT's are normally in the high 90's - which makes his doctors happy, which in return makes me happy

Anyways, we have recently started thinking about babies and have just started all the testing. Dustin and I are staying very positive about our situation. I found out that I am NOT a carrier of CF, and Dustin has just gone in for his sperm analysis - no results yet. We are expecting that we will need IVF to have our babies, although we have been trying for about three months to see if maybe we could beat the odds. We will continue to try up until our IVF is scheduled - just for the fun of it

We have a friend who has CF, who has really helped us out and been such a positive role model for us. She just turned 45 years old and is in great shape.

You all are such a great inspiration for us, and i look forward to getting to know you more and more. Thanks for reading.

Welcome Sara! Hope the SA goes well, but if it doesn't, at least you're optimistic about other alternative ways of getting pregnant. This is a very exciting time to be thinking about starting a family. Sounds like your hubby is doing great. Welcome!
