Investigation Regarding Incorrect Sweat Test Results

How sad that this girl went without treatment for a long time. I remember the 2 years my dd went eating like a horse and pooping 10 times a day I was so devastated seeing her going through this, then the rectal prolapses every time she went potty. I was going out of my mind seeing her like this and former ped. would say "she is fine, she is just a hungry baby, some babies eat and poop more than others" grrrrrrrr It makes me so mad just to remember those countless doctor appts. that I came home without answers and the sleepless nights on line trying to find answers myself I'm not surprised any more about misdiagnosis or mistakes.

I really hope that incidents like this prompt a change in how sweat tests are viewed. I'm amazed by the number of people who are told "all clear' from a sweat test -- when it doesn't seem like they are all that capable of using them to rule out CF.
