Is swelling and redness at sweat test site normal

I went to have my swet test today. My upper and lower arms are bright red and swelled where they attached the test machine. I don't remember seeing that on my son. Is it normal? It itches very bad. They said they would call me in the morning with the results.

The same thing happend when we tested my oldest. Out of our 3 kids she was the only one that broke out. She said that some people are just more sensitive.

Thanx I was wondering I asked the tech that preformed the test if there was any reactions she knew of and she said no. She also told me that she does atleast 5 a day. I am allergic or sensitive to all kinds of odd things so I figured that might be the problem. How long did it take for the problem to go away.

I was too young to remember my sweat test...do they tape the stuff on? Maybe you were allergic to the adhesive.

I 'm not sure which part did it but I still have the rashes. Yes they put tape. I got my results back yesterday 39
