Hi there! My husband and I are looking into IVF as an option for having children, since he has cystic fibrosis. If you are going through or have gone through IVF please write to me and tell me about the hospital/clinic it was done through and how much it cost. Also, if you know of any ways to cut down on costs that would be great too. We are saving money right now for IVF, it seems like such a long road right now.

Manda,

My husband has CF and we did IVF last year. We used a clinic in WA state, www.nwreprosci.com and I was also going to do IVF in CA (before we moved to WA) but that got cancelled a few times. I was working with reproductive partners, they have offices all over most of southern CA.

As far as IVF grants, www.inciid.org is one that has an IVF scholarship program. I was actually selected last March/April after a year of waiting (a year from when I submitted my application) but I was already pregnant so I had to forefit the scholarship.

I also utilized www.inciid.org to discuss various IVF clinics in my area that would be able to meet my need (preferably a doctor who was versed in male infertility, who could do the sperm extraction in his office...) and in combination of talking with others and looking up some of the providers who are partnered with INCIID, I found my clinic.

I'd be happy to answer any questions that you might have. And my website might be of interest to you, www.cysticfibrosismaleinfertility.com
