Hello

As my first and only child has CF I am trying to learn about all of the different avenues available for having a second child. I was wondering if anyone had any experience doing IVF with PGD.

Please feel free to post here or privately.

Thank you very much

Hi Sara. I've posted on other boards as well about PGD/IVF so this may be repetitive...

Our firstborn was diagnosed with CF through newborn screening, we had no idea we were carriers. He's a Double Delta.

After much thought, we chose the route of IVF/PGD to have more kids. We just had our second boy in June, he is healthy as a result. It was the best decision for us. Check out Genesis Genetics in Michigan. They have done the most CF cases in the world. They work with several IVF centers throughout all the states. Dr Hughes is the contact person. If you use them, he will call you personally and explain the entire procedure for about an hour or so...They were great.
