I'm a recently diagnosed college freshman. I'm trying to get on routine with my meds, but it's been kinda hard. I had a cold a few weeks ago and since then have been feeling kinda run down. I'm also having a lot of joint pain recently. I had it pretty bad last year just before i was diagnosed, not disabling, just painful and annoying to deal with. Sometimes it was painful to sit for long periods of time. I'm starting to get that again, but now i'm getting it in my arms and ankles as well (before it was mostly my knees). Anyway just wondering if anyone else experiances Joint pain and how they deal with it.
Thanks!<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

Joint pain and back pain is a big thing for people with Cf. It's usually caused by weakened bones (due to an improper absobtion of calcium) and back pain for a bunch of different reasons. For the most part your best bet is to ask your physical therapist at your Cf clinic. Usually they can give you some really good streaches and things you can do without the use of drugs to help things out.

I started to have knee pain last year for the first time. I figured out that it was because my knees were swollen because I was retaining fluid. Check with your doctor to see if your lungs could be causing swelling any place else...check the ankles too. If so then a few doses of lasix usually takes care of the problem. Hope this helps!

Thanks for your advice, I really appreciate it. I'll be going in for a check up soon, just as soon as we find a center where my college is and that takes our insurance. Thanks again!
