I think it depends on wether you have a 'trigger gene', and I think the delta F508 is one, I appear not to have a trigger gene. I go to the hospital for a CT scan on my lungs an d breathing/lung function tests on the 11th of May, and I go back to the adult CF centre doctor on the 26th of May to find out whats what. DS's nurse comes in the morn I will ask her if she can find out my gene numbers for me as I have mislaid them. I will post about this after the 26th.

Very interesting.... <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Will you keep me posted? I am just so fascinated by all of this gene and mutation stuff. Like one of the girls on here, AMY (I think her user name is spelled adoble) has 3, YES 3!!! mutations. I just find that all amazing. It seems like they find out more every day.

Maybe the trigger thing has something to do with the gene modifiers they are studying too. Maybe you could get yourself into a study, or be the study.

Very interesting, thanks for sharing!
