Foreclosure=lose your right to vote... Leave it to the GOP.
This just sucks, and is so damn wrong!! Hmmm, I thought we had a constitutional right to VOTE? Republicans can be so dirty!

Minorities and obviously, poor people may be targeted and treated like felons by having their votes taken away. The dirtiest trick I've ever heard of. There are more articles like this one all over.

Google "foreclosure right to vote"
and spread the word. Everyone should know about this.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>UPDATE: In a response to the news as first reported by the Michigan Messenger, Michigan Republican Party Director of Research and Communications Bill Nowling told PoliGazette:

<b>This story is not true. The Michigan Republican Party is not using foreclosure lists to challenge voters. This has never been discussed. This is not being discussed. This will not be discussed. Period.</b>

UPDATE II: In a later e-mail Mr. Nowling added:

We take this story by the Michigan Messenger to be false. I spoke directly with the chairman of Macomb Country GOP and he says he never said anything to the Messenger as it was reported in the Messenger. The Messenger is a left-leaning blog funded by ultra-Left billionaire George Soros. It is not an independent news source.

That said, there is not now nor has there ever been any plan to use home foreclosure lists to challenge voters. Such a list would be meaningless in determining whether a voter is eligible to vote in a precinct for which they are attempting to vote.

As another note, it is the Michigan Republican Party, the state party, and not the county parties that operates voter integrity programs. County parties have no role in our Election Day Operations programs.</end quote></div>

Ok, first of all the person quoted says he didn't say it. Frankly even as a repub I don't believe him.

However, while it might not sound nice: if you lost your home, you no longer live their at are not LEGALLY entitled to vote unless you re-register with your new address.

This is no different than if you move, you can move and then decided to vote where you 'used' to live (legally).

All that was implied is that since they know you no longer live at the address on your registration, anyone trying to vote from that address would have to prove they live there (ie you bought it after foreclosure).

even Illegals can vote, and if a person looses there home they can in most states
still vote using there OLD address.

MI is directing this at Obama voters, THAT IS WHATS WRONG ABOUT IT. That is Vote Tampering.
BTW I am not a fan on obama or mccain. neither are fit to lead this Country.
