Hi everyone,

I had another doctors appointment Thursday. The doctors were not happy with my lung function numbers. I'm now running on 18% total capacity. They wanted to admit me to the hospital yesterday, but I asked them to just give me the weekend so I could have a little extra freedom. My prison... I mean hospital sentence starts Monday and will be the routine 3 week stay. The good news is, I'll be confined to my room with a computer... so I'll finally be able to respond to many of your emails ;o)

I want to ask you all a favor... even those that I do not know well. My favor is simple and will only take a second. Even for those that have a questionable, or no faith... please say a prayer that I receive these new lungs while I'm in the hospital this time. My wish is to come home breathing normal. I do think the positive energy from your thoughts will better my chances.

I am one that is not overly religious, but yet quite faithful at the same time. I will put in my word for ya, Mike! As always you & your gal are in my thoughts, Prayers & strength to both of you!

Ahhh, the ol' all inclusive resort and spa. That sucks, but at least you have a computer! I'll be thinking of you while you're in. Enjoy the complimentary acupuncture.

You've got it here too Mike. Prayer can be an important part of health. When I"m in the hosp sometimes I find myself having a constant "conversation" with "upstairs" if you know what I mean. Just to get me through the day.<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> He probably thinks I'm crazy and some of you do too now!!!LOL.
But whatever you have to do to keep going. It's different for all of us. Stay strong.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you while you are in. I'm in RI a lot. (M-I-L in Cranston). Did I remember that's where you are?

I have a set of mala beads, used by Bhuddists. Whenever I really need to concentrate on having the universe line up, I devote one entire recitation to that thing. I will do an entire recitation on the mala tonight to get you new lungs. My heartfelt good wishes to you. And, as Allie said, complimentary accupuncture, probably a personal oxygen bar at no extra cost, "massage" (as CPT can euphemistcally be called!), and daily room service. What a life we CFers lead!!

Mike, I've been thinking of you and wondering how you were. Of course, you are in my prayers--I so hope, wish, and pray for that new set of lungs--I know they're out there! Keep us posted--do you need anything while you are there?
