this morning's update:

THURSDAY, MAY 24, 2007 08:32 AM, CDT
First of all, I"m sorry I can't get back to all of you who have called and emailed! Mike is doing AWESOME! I got to "talk" to him last night. He was gesturing and writing. The first thing he wrote was "EAT". They are probably going to take out the vent today. I'm not going to bring the computer with me to the hospital today, but I will update later. I just wanted to say that he is doing really well!!!

LUCKY NUMBER SEVEN

So we are hoping the 7th time is a charm! He is actually IN THE OPERATING room right now. THe lungs are on their way so there is still the potential for something to go wrong, but I think this is it! FINALLY!!!! I will blog updates and keep you posted as the doctors let me know!

Katy that is awesome and I would imagine, scary at the same time. I will be praying for Mike and for you too. Let us know how things are going.
