My son is on his third kidney stone in 4 months and it kills me to watch him in so much pain. They also identified an enlarged lymph node or nodule unspecified somewhere in his abdomen/groin area I think.. Has anyone experienced the nodule/lymph node issue?http://www.connections4life.com/blog/2011/10/21/CT-Results-In-Kidney-Stone-3-et-al.aspx
I have had enlarged lymph nodes but because of infection. Once I was treated, they shrunk. I feel your son's pain, I too am susceptible to kidney stones and they hurt quite a bit. It's the type of pain that has me begging for IV dilaudid until it passes into my bladder. I pray that he passes the stone quickly, hopefully the docs are humane and gave him some good pain meds to get him through this.

Hi there,

I don't have any experience with the lymph/nodule issue, but I have had kidney stones for 12 years now. I heard something like 10-20% of CFers get kidney stones, but no one is exactly sure why it happens (maybe something with the way we absorb nutrients). Anyhow, I have had 2 lithotripsies and have passed multiple stones on my own. My only advice is to make sure he's being monitored by a urologist so that they can treat the stones and/or pain as they occur.
