We are going to be at Kings Island Theme Park for 2 days and I am trying to plan ahead for my daughter who is 6 wcf. I called the park but the lady I spoke with wouldn't give me any information on accomodations, she just said that I would have to go to guest services when we get there to find out.

My main concern is keeping her cool and hydrated bc she hasn't done well with heat/sun this summer.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Hmmm ...I live in Cincinnati so I've been to Kings Island many times before. They have something for handi-cap people where they can get ahead of the line but usually you have to have a wheelchair. I only used a wheelchair when I couldn't walk long distances and I was on oxygen. I'm not sure if they will give you anything just because of the heat. I understand what you are saying though. Most of the time my family just checks the wheather before we go. Are you from out of town? They have some indoor spots that have air conditioning so if she is too hot you can stop there. I always bring a spray bottle. If they still sell them, you can buy spray bottles with battery powered fans on them. Other than that I can't really tell you much else. Kings Island isn't really helpful with this issue from my experiences.

Thanks for the responses! We went this past weekend and it went well. Thankfully the weather cooled down from the 90's to the 70's and 80's so heat wasn't bad at all. We brought a cooler full of cold drinks and some salty snacks and some of those spray fans with ice water. My daughter had a great time and loved riding the roller coasters since she was just tall enough for the "big" kid coasters! When she did get a little heated, she cooled off at the log ride and Sponge Bob's Bikini Bottom Splash attraction. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
