too many pain meds plus an increase in enzymes are causing problems... i am just wondering what everyones choice of laxtives are. ive never had this problem,so this is new to me.

You dont want something that is too harsh or works too fast. You would probably be better off using Mirilax on a daily basis. Maybe check with the doctor & see what does you should start with & adjust it down to a maintenance level once things get moving.

Definitely Miralax. It's a white powder you mix into a glass of water and it's mostly tasteless. It's pretty gentle too.
Edit: If you want to take something that is even GENTLER and more of a preventative thing, you can take something like Benefiber. I'd still recommend the Miralax though because it works so well. I just wanted to offer a second alternative. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Personally, I really like that new probiotic yogurt...Activia. It does me a world of good, and it's additional calories!
At first I was worried that it wasn't supposed to be eaten by people with pancreatitis, but as my doctor explained, I don't have enough of a pancreas to have that issue lol.
