Just like most people on this board, I've been trying to just plain take care of myself better. I'm tightening my belt and doing my treatments every day, taking all of my pills, and trying not to go out in the cold and rain if I don't have to. But I'm also trying to do other t hings as well, such as drinking more teas and hot drinks to help open me up, such as oregano tea, rose hips tea, etc.

What kinds of things (little or big) do you try to do everday to keep yourself healthy?

The biggest thing for me is activity. For awhile I became a pure couch potatoe. Now I concentrate on my activity. Even if its not actual exercise I try to stretch & look/work on extra breathing exercises. This has kicked in more so since I start getting physical therapy for a bad shoulder. The little that I do there makes a big difference overall.

Mainly do my treatments everyday and try not to miss any meds what so ever, occasionally Ill forget and pay the consequences, for instance not taking my enzymes with EVERY single meal, I have that problem around holidays, (the foods just staring at you on the table all day long, what do expect me to do! so I grab it and eat it and dont bother getting more enzymes when I need to) Exercising is going to be part of my regimen starting in the NEW Year. When I do my vest I try to do different breathing techniques along with coughs and huffs, never get anything up though. Thats about it. I just try to stay active too!

If I'm feeling tired and run down, lately I've been taking it easy. I used to try to go out and do stuff even when I was feeling tired. Lately I find it makes me feel worse. The stress of getting back and doing treatments and getting to bed early is just too much. I try to not go out at night unless I'm feeling well. Oh, and exercise.

Something that I feel has helped my immune system hugely is juicing. I got a juicer at Walmart, for around $30. I juice 3 apples, 3 carrots and a lemon. You get the same benefit as if you ate all that fruit and veggies, but you drink it down. Its packed with raw vitamins, and its boosts your immunity. If there are times where I feel I'm getting sick, I juice up to 4-5 times a day. I strongly feel that it has prevented me from needing iv's a few times-no doubt. Even my Cf doctor agrees that you will absorb the vitamins from raw juice much easier than any vitamin, and when its is liquid form, its like getting a massive dose of vit c.

I'm not saying its a cure-all, or everyone has to do it now. But its helped me greatly, and its easy and cheap. Anything that helps me a little, I'll do. Just try it!

Good for you for taking power over your health.
