I got a call today from our CF clinic that my 6 week old had a low hemoglobin count (8.7 (finger stick) and 9.4 (heal stick)). I am wondering if this has anything to do with CF or if this could be unrelated? They are going to have us come back in next Wendesday for another CBC to check the HGB level. He is on formular with Iron so we do not think that is the reason why - although I switched him from Emfamil with Iron to ProSobee with Iron this past Monday and he seems to be having frequent bowel movements (soft and yellow and smelly) where as before he was not even having one per day and I was having to use a suppository on him if he did not have a BM with-in 24 hours. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks!
