Low voice

I have been told that I have a low voice, that I speak very low. I suppose I always have, I started to think if any of you also do that, speak low? Maybe I do it to not overwork my lungs? I don't know, just a thought... any one else?

By low I'm guessing you are talking about volume? I've never heard of this as related to cf but there is the classic cf raspy voice caused by coughing damaging our vocal cords. We all sound the same Have you ever talked on the phone to another cfer? Seriously. We all sound the same. A few have mentioned on here that they have been told they have a sexy voice.

I did Tech Support for a Software Firm for years.
They record all calls. They used to play back mine
because they said I had that Barry White thing going on, lol
Not sure if thats true.. Some people say I have that
sexy phone voice thing also.. Not sure how it comes
out like that , all I am doing is talking and explaining
how to get through the software ?

I feel like I have a low voice, though no one has really said it is low. I can hear the irritation of the vocal cords when I listen to messages (that I left) or whatever.

I also think that the nebs might have something to do w/ it too, especially abx like TOBI

I have talked to other CF'ers and can definitely tell they have CF haha

My voice is very hoarse and low. It has been low forever. When I am done with my hypertonic saline each day I am extra raspy and hoarse. I keep telling myself it is sexy.... HA!! My voice is almost lower than my husbands.... <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I dont have a low as in deep voice. I have a low as in volume, soft spoken. My husband tells me I mumble. I swear I dont. I don't speak very loud. I am not sure if it is from CF or from my family. My mom is soft spoken. I often have ppl call and think I am her answering the phone. I have also had ppl to call the house and ask if they can speak to my parents. My voice is only hoarse or raspy if I am currently sick and/or coughing more.
