Maggie had her recital yesterday. It was in an old movie theatre. So it was a real stage, she got up in front of everyone with her class of 4 and did tap to a Shirley Temple song "when I grow up" and ballet to "twinkle, twinkle little star" She looked so comfortable on stage. The room was packed with people. It was so sweet. At the end of the performance, (there were several classes with different age group) The teacher said one little girl in her class has cystic fibrosis and a portion of the proceeds from the dance recital would be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. It was a surprise for us,(a good one of course) the teacher never mentioned it to us. Maggie never missed a dance class except to do the Great Strides walk for CFF. The teacher said something like while all of us were dancing, this little girl was walking to raise $ for CF. Talk about a tearjerker. I was ready to cry just watching Maggie dance, much less someone donate to the CFF. Anyway, this touched me very much and I thought I'ld share what a wonderful community we have supporting us!
